The weaving or slicing of the hair with the use of lightener and color, applied in foil, cellophane, or papers, to create a high/low dimension in the hair.
Color / Demi/Semi
Color applied to the roots or all over the hair to darken original hair color.
Color / Permanent
Color is applied to the roots or all over the hair to cover gray or change the total hair color; desired shades can be lighter or darker than original hair color.
Color / Ombre
Color fading from dark to light, or vice versa. Instead of the color starting from the roots, it gradually becomes lighter, or darker, towards the ends.
Toning/Glazing
Applying demi color—roots to ends to get rid unwanted tones usually in blonde hair.
Permanents/Bodywaving
Wrapping hair in permanent wave rods and applying a solution to curl that hair around the rods to achieve curl that usually last between 3 and 4 months.
Smoothing Treatments—(Keratin/Brazilian blowout)
The process of temporarily changing the texture of the hair. This treatment locks out humidity while sealing in color and helps to eliminate frizz and in some instances curl. The type of treatments can last 4-5 months before the hair returns to its natural state.
Updo’s
The process of putting the hair up on the head, usually held in with bobby pins, to achieve an elegant or casual style usually done for weddings, proms, and other momentous occasions. Updo’s can be formal or informal.
